Comments: The information included for the Texas Department of Insurance's (TDI's) Listing of Expenditures by Texas Building and Procurement Commission (TBPC) Class and Item was extracted from the agency's procurement system rather than the agency's accounting system. The agency's accounting system does not capture payment data at the TPBC class and item level but rather at the comptroller object code level. The dates reported in the purchasing system may differ slightly from the expenditure system's actual payment dates. This caveat was taken into account when preparing the lists. Also, agency purchases made from TBPC's State of Texas Central Supply Store and payments made for telephone services through pre-established Department of Information Resource (DIR) contracts were not included in this report because they are not tracked in the purchasing system.
