Who Administers Local Pension Plans?

Board composition for local retirement plans varies. State law establishes board composition for plans enabled through Vernon’s Civil Statutes. The table below provides the details of the boards of trustees for those local retirement systems. Other local retirement plans determine the composition of their boards of trustees at the local level and are subject to Government Code Title 8, Chapter 802 and 810. Those provisions provide general administrative guidelines and expectations for the boards of trustees, such as producing annual financial reports and the management of the trust.
